Chairman & Chief Executive officer Kim Myung Won of Buhmwoo and Family of Companies was awarded with the “Golden Tower Industrial merit” at the 30th National Quality Management Convention, which was held at the COEX auditorium on November 19 2004.
The National Quality Management Convention is hosted by the ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy and conducted by the Korea Standard Association annually which was inaugurated in 1975 in order to expand and supply the quality management activities pan industrially, that is to get together the nation-wide workers and enterprisers for awarding of the prizes to the outstanding contributors and enterprises of the quality management activities of the year.
At this 30th National Quality Management Convention which was participated in by more than 1,400 head of the economic organizations and enterprisers, Prime Minister Lee Hae Chan, through his gratitude address in order to leap forward to attain $20,000 income era, he stressed the workers, employers and the government as well, are subject to get together and promote the pan national quality revolution activities in full force.
At the events, Chairman Kim Myung Won, being recognized for promoting quality management supply and expansion, Lee Seung Han, President of Samsung Tesco co., including President Kim Seung Hwan of Korea Flange co. ltd., were awarded with Golden Tower Industrial merit, of which award for Chairman Kim was backed by the following categories implemented by Buhmwoo and family of company so far.
First; performance of the management philosophy as being, human centered enterprise.
It means, the enterprise of which must be; by the human being, for the human being, of the human being. Buhmwoo and family of companies has been always tried its best effort to become an enterprise, of which is; by the clients, for the clients and of the clients.
Second; performance of the technical development, which was focused by the executive officer and employees with its full forces,
Buhmwoo and family of companies, with its motto of which could be guaranteed the competitiveness only through the technology development, at the initial stage of the founding of company, has been invested its almost entire foreign funds to the R&D projects, and even at this moments, investing more than 8% of the budget against the sales amount.
Especially, this year, by investing 12 billion won, successfully dedicated the latest R&D center building at Hwasung, Kyonggi province and established an independent BIT Research enterprise.
Third; performance of the enterpriser’s management philosophy is to build the society of which is harmonious beauty.
It means, as a sense of duty or given mission of the enterprisers, if not a society living healthy with its neighbors, the enterprises of which cannot exist. And for this purpose, not only the founder’s significant portions of the property of four billion won has been created as scholarship funds to support Buhmmyung scholarship foundation and Pohang Engineer University but also, at the enterpriser’s level, working hard to support blinders and the development of the farming and fishing villages as well.
Nevertheless, awarded with the Golden Tower Industrial merit this time, Chairman and entire employees are counting the given glory as recognition of the entire client’s ultimate goods and, the lovely supports to Buhmwoo and family of companies.
