<Awarding Ceremony of the 5th ISCC ISSMA>
The 5th International Standards System Management Awards ; which was hosted by Korea Standard Association and sponsored by Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy and Korea Standards Institute ; was held at the Busan Exhibition Convention Center on 10 th, 11th, May for two days. At this event, Buhmwoo chemical and Industrial Co., Ltd. was awarded with the Grand Award in the field of the Med-Small Enterprise of the ISSMA for two consecutive years.
Also, at this event, Director S. M . Choi of BIT Buhmwoo research institute received Individual Award in recognition of his contribution for the establishment of the standard management system .
ISSMA is the abbreviation of ; International Standards System Management Awards ; and it is to introduce and adopt the internationally standardized quality, environment, safety, health management system at the company wide scale. Buhmwoo, received in ’94 ISO 9001(Quality), in ’97 ISO 14001(Environment), in ’98 ASME NQA-1(Nuclear power quality assur ance system), in ’00 QS-9000(Auto quality assurance), in ’03 ISO/TS 16949(Quality management system), through which performed system effectiveness activities through in and outside after screening systems. And by developing and introducing policy management methods/ medium-term strategy estimation methods, analytical tool, etc . and has been reflected on the management activities. Also, with the introduction of the management infor mation systems, statistical quality control, test planning methods of research institute, six sigma method, etc. and utilizing it for the prompt research and development activities, through which contributing for the promotion of the productivity and clients satisfaction. Presently, for the creation of the management infra with the standards of quality management process, performing the ERP projects.
The award of this time is for the continued improvement activities and innovation activities in parallel with the result of the promotion of the confidence of the clients and Buhmwoo together with the Buhmwoo R&D institute will play major role for the realization of the technology intensive TOP 1 of the world by grasping the trend of the international standard system such as ISSMA before hand and thereby paving ground as a leading enterprise in the metal processing oils in the world and, meantime, planning to occupy leading position in the race against the overseas advanced enterprises .
